St. Kilda Sharks WFC

Formed in 1992 the Sharks are one of the oldest Victorian women's football clubs and they boast a proud record with no fewer than four senior grade premierships to their name. They spent the 2016 and 2017 seasons competing in the VFL Women's League, the top tier female competition in the state. Far from being overawed they finished in third place in both years. Despite this, in November 2017 it was announced that the club would be foregoing its VFLW involvement and returning to a community focused set-up from 2018. Lining up in the South Eastern Women's Division One competition they were competitive but finished one place shy of a finals berth.
